Ingol and Tanterton Community Trust (INTACT)

£25,000 grant towards the cost of building an extension to the kitchen of a busy community café as part of a major expansion project at a community centre in Preston.

Trusthouse Charitable Foundation supported INTACT to extend its community café as part of a major expansion which will see the community centre doubling in size to accommodate the growing need for its services. The new kitchen will give INTACT the space to offer cook and eat sessions, healthy eating workshops, cooking on a budget, and family cooking sessions. Such easy entry sessions will help the organisation to tackle underlying health conditions which, at the moment, mean the area has a life expectancy below the national average.
