Justlife Foundation

£8,000 towards the costs of workshops at a charity in Openshaw, East Manchester, supporting adults who are homeless, vulnerably housed, or living in temporary accommodation.

Justlife Foundation was founded in 2011 to provide advice and guidance to homeless and vulnerably housed adults. With support from Trusthouse Charitable Foundation, Justlife were able to offer a number of weekly workshops, including: Gardening, Job Club, Women’s Group, Cooking, and Ceramics. Over the course of the project, 87 people learned to cook, and 28 gained gardening skills.

As well as centre-based activities, the grant from Trusthouse also covered monthly outings to local places of interest, such as The Football Museum, The Imperial War Museum, Media City, and Debdale Eco Centre. These trips are well-loved by participants and proved positive in expanding horizons.
