Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH) offers a range of confidential and non-judgmental services to female sex workers and women at risk of entering sex work. A grant from Trusthouse was made in support of running costs for the outreach service MASH provides, which operates from a van three times a week in deprived areas of North Manchester.

The service offers condoms, needle exchange, information about ‘dodgy punters’, and basic refreshments.  A case worker will work intensively with each woman offering support, counselling and help with addiction or homelessness.  The service is run by a combination of highly qualified staff and well-trained volunteers who see and work with over 100 women in an average year.
